Thermal diagnostics of mechanical gear elements of combine harvester

Abstract The work carried out practical testing of the technology thermal diagnostics belt gear elements grating mill drive combine harvester. basis is principle using coefficient temperature ratio on surface diagnosed unit and in friction zone, expressed through proportionality finite element model. peculiarity diagnostics, this case, to compare zone with maximum allowable for direct contact mechanical transmission unit. object study tensioning roller first stage CLAAS TUCANO 580 harvester 6203-2RS TIMKEN bearings. result numerical experiment showed a significant effect operational parameters - radial force rotational speed. use 3D-modeling made it possible determine key parameter proposed finite-element model k=0.489. bearing assembly tension was measured periodically, non-contact method during harvesting 2020 season. For period regular observations 128 moto-hours, value growth rate V τ =0.025 °C/min 69.5 °C, taking into account ambient air temperature, were determined. No failures found. In process application technology, no errors kind are recorded, which indicates effectiveness technology.
